parade route. john roberts will travel with the parade along pennsylvania avenue if the technical gods allow it. john, good afternoon. >> so far the gods are with us. if we could spin the camera over here a little bit you can see the east front of the capitol the president will join the motorcade coming out of the driveway from the east front to the constitution avenue. this will be in the next hour and a half to two hours. the parade is 1.5 mile long including a mix of civilian and military contributions, mostly marching bands and a lost floats that will be brought in from the civilian side of things something implemented in 1841 by william henry harrison. you will know he liked to do things big. he had the longist inaugural address of anyone at two hours in horrible weather and he did not wear a hat or cold and he died 30 days later but he had floats in the parade. there are 2,100 members of the military who will join today's festivities along with 13,000 others who have capped off the number of people that can participate in this parade at 15,000. as we work our way along the parade

ambassador john bolton. ambassador, what do you expect to happen today? and if you were asking questions, where would you focus? >> the way i would do it would be to ask very specific questions. i would not give secretary clinton a chance to filibuster about broad policy issues and skate past her personal responsibility. so there are three phases to this: what happened before september 11, what happened on the day of the attack, and what happened later with the mohammed video story. so, for example, before the attack, i would ask were you aware of the request for enhanced security from embassy tripoli? were you ware of the attacks on the consolate compound in benghazi, attacks on the british ambassador, the red cross's decision to withdraw? if she says "yes" to that, why didn't she react to provide enhanced security? and if she wasn't aware of it, what kind of responsibility does that show about her personnel in a very sensitive area? i'd repeat that kind of approach with respect to what happened on the day of the attack itself and then later. >>brian: ambassador, the former se

plan could torpedo the gang of it's plan. it almost killed john mccain's presidential campaign in 2007 and 2008. he began to run around saying secure the border first. that was his mantra after almost dying by supporting immigration reform. it will be very important what the president says and rubio's chief of staff was tweeting out last night that it was possible that something the president proposed could be a deal killer. last thing, bill, is that the plan is not written at all in the senate. it will go to the senate judiciary committee where patrick leahy has a liberal rating of 95 to 100, depending what liberal group you're be looking at. a lot of people on the left and democrat are looking for him to liberalize the bill quite a bit. that could also be a deal-killer for republicans. bill: quickly here. are republicans going to be behind this based on what you heard so far? >> reporter: i think the republicans who opposed it back in '06 and '07, if they're still in the senate they will oppose it today despite the election results of 2012. if you listen to senator jeff sessions
